Toronto BBQ Catering ("we", "us") is a free matching service. This policy explains what we collect on torontobbqcatering.ca, why we collect it, and who else sees it. We are not a caterer. When you ask for a match, the caterer is a separate business.
What the form collects
If you submit the form, we collect the fields you fill in:
- Whether you are planning an event or you are a caterer
- Name, email address, and phone number if you add one
- City and neighbourhood or area
- For events: date, guest count, event type, cuisine preferences, dietary needs, budget if you add one, service style, and notes
- For caterers: the cuisines you cook, the area you cover, and notes about your business
- Your consent to the sharing described below
The form also includes a Cloudflare Turnstile check to reduce spam. Cloudflare processes that check under its own terms. We do not use the form to collect payment card numbers.
How a client request is shared
If you are planning an event, we share the details you submitted with the independent caterers we match you with, so they can prepare a quote. We introduce you and the caterer on a shared email thread. That means the caterer sees your name, email, and the event details, and you see the caterer's reply. Do not put anything in the notes that you would not want that caterer to read.
We share those details for the match you asked for. We do not sell or rent your information.
Caterer applications
If you write in as a caterer, we use your details to contact you about client requests that fit your menu and area. We do not publish a list of partners on this website.
How long we keep it
We keep request details long enough to make the introduction, follow up, and meet any legal duties that apply. You can ask us to correct or delete what you sent by emailing [email protected].
