From a request to a caterer
Four steps. No invented reviews. The caterer is the one you hire.
Tell us about the event
Date, city, guest count, cuisine, dietary needs, budget and whether you want drop-off, full service or a live station.
We look for a fit
We match those details to independent local caterers. BBQ is the flagship. Other cuisines and formats are welcome.
We introduce you by email
You and the caterer land on a shared email thread. Your request details are shared so they can prepare a quote.
The caterer quotes and cooks
They confirm the menu, the price and the service. If you book, they cook and serve. We stay out of the kitchen.
Events we match
Corporate days, weddings, backyard parties, schools and community events. We match the event with a caterer. We do not cook it.
BBQ, and the rest of the table
Start with barbecue, or tell us you need something else. Each page explains how that match works.
BBQ Catering
Our flagship match. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and grilled plates from independent BBQ caterers, drop-off or live fire.

See how matching worksA straight match, not a fake catering company
Toronto BBQ Catering is a matching service. We are not a caterer. That is the whole point of being clear about it.
One request, a local caterer
You should not have to call around the GTA to find out who is free. Share the event once. We introduce you to an independent caterer who fits the menu, headcount, budget and date.
Free for you
The introduction is free for clients. It is free for partner caterers for now. You pay the caterer only if you book them, on the terms the two of you agree.
BBQ first, not BBQ only
Barbecue is the flagship: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, drop-off or a live station. We also match halal, vegan, South Asian, wedding and office catering.
You talk to the caterer
We put you and the caterer on a shared email thread. They quote, cook and serve. We do not run a kitchen, and we do not stand in for their menu or their crew.
Service Areas
We take catering requests across Toronto and the GTA, then introduce you to an independent caterer who covers your city.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a caterer?
No. Toronto BBQ Catering does not cook, and we do not have a kitchen, smokers or serving staff. We are a free matching service. You tell us about the event, we introduce you by email to an independent local caterer who fits, and that caterer quotes, cooks and serves.
How much does catering cost in Toronto and the GTA?
We do not set prices. As a planning guide, drop-off buffets are often about $18 to $35 per person, full-service catering about $35 to $90, and a live-fire BBQ station about $40 to $75. The only price that counts is the quote from the caterer we match you with. It depends on the menu, headcount, date and how much service you want.
Is the matching service free?
Yes. It is free for clients. It is also free for partner caterers for now. You pay the caterer for the food and service, on whatever terms you and the caterer agree.
What happens after I send a request?
We read your date, city, guest count, cuisine, dietary needs, budget and service style. We introduce you and a matched caterer on a shared email thread so you can talk through the menu. The caterer sends the quote. If the first match is not the right fit, tell us and we will try another introduction.
Do you only match BBQ?
BBQ is the flagship, and it is still what many people come to us for. We also match halal catering, vegan and vegetarian catering, South Asian and Indian catering, wedding catering, corporate lunches and other formats. If you need something else, say so on the form.
Who cooks, serves and cleans up?
The caterer does. Ask them what is included: drop-off only, staffed service, a live station, rentals, or cleanup of their setup. We do not cook on site and we do not leave a venue, because we are not there as the caterer.
How far ahead should I send a request?
For weddings and larger events, sending a request four to eight weeks ahead gives caterers a better chance of being free, especially in summer. Smaller gatherings are sometimes possible on shorter notice. The caterer confirms whether your date is open.
Will you share my details with caterers?
Yes. To get you a quote we share the details on your request with the caterers we match you with. We introduce you on a shared email thread. We do not sell your information. Read the privacy policy for the full list of what the form collects.
